Bridging architectural research, game technology, and climate communication.
Generative Arts is an immersive innovation studio focusing on emerging technologies as a medium to understand, fabricate and represent space.
Led by XR architect and researcher Vipin Dhunnoo, the studio investigates the implications of real-time technologies and research frameworks to fabricate and represent spaces, effectively blurring the distinctions between physical and virtual realities. By focusing on emerging technologies as a medium to understand and compose space, the studio creates innovative experiences that address complex spatial and environmental challenges.
Vipin delivers flagship immersive climate education programmes with direct application to Queensland’s climate resilience and digital education priorities. These scalable XR solutions are actively deployed at the Innovation Precinct at St Paul’s School, a globally recognised institution for curriculum innovation. By integrating virtual reality, augmented reality, and projection mapping across multiple departments, the studio has demonstrated high student engagement rates across critical subjects including history, design, and technology.
This work is underpinned by international research and leadership within the immersive technology sector. As a PhD candidate and Valedictorian of Bond University, Vipin’s investigation into immersive climate communication has been presented at the UNESCO International Conference in Paris and the United Nations SDG Global Festival of Action. His ongoing contributions ensure that his projects are grounded in global policy frameworks and professional best practice.
