The Bad Lament

Michelle Brown is an artist, curator and creative technologist based in Meanjin, Australia. Working primarily with emerging technologies such as VR and AR, her practice explores transformation, experimentation and liminality, and how we use technology to create meaningful connections between people and their environment.

Michelle has exhibited internationally and around Australia, with work featured at Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, Museum of Other Realities, Curiocity Brisbane, Cannes XR and she has collaborated with Snapchat, Google, Github Universe, Splendour in the Grass, Brisbane Festival plus many more.

Michelle has produced documentary series for Australian television, created music videos and visuals for a variety of artists, and as a digital specialist, delivers training and mentorship programs in screen based practice and creative technology at The Edge, State Library of Queensland.
